GitBuilty is operated by Teyra LLC ("we", "us"). This page explains what personal data we collect when you visit gitbuilty.com, join the waitlist, or use GitBuilty, why we collect it, and what your choices are. It is part of our Terms & Conditions.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist
Only the e-mail address you enter. To limit abuse, we also keep a hashed IP record, which cannot be turned back into your IP, for at most 1 day.
If you create a GitBuilty account
- GitHub account data that you authorize GitHub to share with us when you sign in or install the GitBuilty GitHub App, such as your GitHub username, ID, profile name and e-mail address, and which repositories you connect.
- Repository contents. When you connect a repository, we read its files and the changes made to them, and process them to generate your summaries, keep your project memory up to date, and write review e-mails. We read your code only to provide the Service to you.
- Content we generate, such as summaries, project memory, review e-mails, exports and any story page you choose to publish.
- Account and usage information, such as your plan, how many analyses you have used, and the e-mail address we use to contact you.
- Billing information. Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment details. We do not store your card number. We receive limited order information from Paddle, such as your e-mail address, plan and subscription status.
- Messages you send us, for example when you e-mail official@teyrallc.com.
When you visit this site
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes each request and may log technical data such as your IP address and browser type, for security and to operate the site.
Why we collect it
- To notify you when GitBuilty opens (waitlist e-mail address).
- To provide the Service: sign you in, read your repositories, generate and update summaries, send review e-mails, and publish a story page when you ask us to.
- To take payments, manage your subscription, and give support (together with Paddle).
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
Where privacy law asks for a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the Service, your consent (for example, joining the waitlist), and legal obligations.
Your code
You keep all rights to your code. We use it only to provide the Service to you. Your repository is not public. Only what you choose to publish, such as a project story page, is visible to others. You can remove GitBuilty's access to your repositories at any time in your GitHub settings.
Selling or sharing
We do not sell your personal data or your code, and we do not share your e-mail address or code with advertisers. We share data only with the service providers that help us run the Service, listed below, and where the law requires it.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare hosts this site and runs parts of the Service.
- GitHub provides sign-in and access to the repositories you connect.
- Paddle.com processes payments, taxes and refunds as Merchant of Record. Paddle acts as an independent controller of your payment data under its own privacy policy.
- AI model providers process parts of your repository content on our behalf to generate the summaries.
- E-mail delivery providers send you review e-mails and service messages.
- Google shows ads on this site (see below).
We choose providers carefully and give them only the data they need for their job.
How long we keep data
- Waitlist e-mail address: until we have told you GitBuilty is open, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Hashed IP record used to limit abuse: at most 1 day.
- Account, repository-derived and generated data: while your account is active. We delete it when you ask us to or when you close your account, except for records that the law requires us to keep.
- Billing records: kept by Paddle and by us as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Deleting your data and your rights
E-mail official@teyrallc.com and we will delete your address, and your account data if you have an account. You can also ask to see, correct, export or restrict the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Depending on where you live, such as the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, you have these rights under law. We will reply to your request. If you are unhappy with our reply, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Ads and cookies
Google AdSense shows ads on this site, and Google uses cookies. See how Google uses data in ads. You can manage ad personalization in your Google ad settings.
Hosting and where data is processed
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No online service can be perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
GitBuilty is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us data, e-mail us and we will delete it.
Changes to this page
We may update this page. We will change the "last updated" date above, and tell you about material changes where we reasonably can.
